How to Prepare for your Tattoo Appointment...

Before the appointment:

-Drink lots of water, Hydrated skin holds ink better

-Moisturise the area for a week before your appointment

-Use suncream! we can't tattoo over sunburn (and you don't want that, trust me!)

-Avoid Alcohol for 24 hours before, as this thins the blood and pushes the ink out, drinking afterwards is fine

Great things to bring along to your appointment include;

-Sugary Drinks

-Snacks, but make sure you've eaten beforehand

-Lunch if you do not intend on going out for food

-Headphones

-Comfy, loose clothing

-Water

-Warm socks (a lot of people tend to get cold whilst being tattooed for a longer period of time).

-A hoodie to wrap up in or use as an extra pillow

-A device to watch Netflix or play games on. (Nintendo Switch etc). Just anything that can pre-occupy you especially during a longer sitting, I can be fairly quiet when I'm concentrating- which can get boring!

...and wear

FOR LEG TATTOOS
shorts, skirts or baggy trousers that can be moved easily.

FOR RIB/STERNUM TATTOOS
baggy or crop tops or shirt that can still be worn but allows access to the tattoo, preferably without a bra so your body is in its most natural state. Sports bras are pretty hard to move around, so avoid if possible! I provide nipple covers if needed, and we have privacy screens in the studio.

FOR BACK TATTOOS
shirt or zip up hoodie/ button up that can be worn backwards so you are still covered, again no bra is preferable, or one that can be undone when you're lying down.

FOR HIP TATTOOS
-pj shorts (baggy shorts) or long skirt, high waisted pants or tie up bikini.
